Ligaya | Filipino-Mexican Fusion

Born from a love of flavor, culture, and street food. Ligaya blends the hearty, soulful tastes of the Philippines with the deep, earthy roots of Mesoamerican cuisine.
Every dish is crafted with care—layered, bold, and made to bring joy (Ligaya means ‘happiness’ in Filipino, after all).

We’re two chefs from opposite sides of the world one from the Philippines, the other from Honduras—brought together by a love for food, culture, and community. Growing up, we were both shaped by vibrant kitchens, loud family dinners, and recipes passed down through generations. Our roots may be different, but the heart behind our food is the same: bold flavors, soulful cooking, and a deep sense of home.

Ligaya—which means joy in Filipino—is our way of sharing that feeling with you. We created Amsterdam’s first Filipino–Mesoamerican fusion food truck to celebrate the flavors we grew up with, reimagined together in one exciting menu.

From adobo quesadillas to tropical lechón tacos, every dish is a meeting point of heritage and innovation. This is more
than just a food truck. It’s a love letter to where we come from—and an invitation to discover something new.

  • "Het was heerlijk!!!"

    We hebben onlangs Ligaya Food Truck Catering ingehuurd voor ons evenement en ze hebben ons echt versteld doen staan! Van begin tot eind verliep de ervaring soepel, professioneel en, het allerbelangrijkste: heerlijk.

    Het team was punctueel, vriendelijk en goed georganiseerd. Ze waren snel klaar en creëerden een uitnodigende sfeer die gasten meteen aantrok. Maar de echte ster was natuurlijk het eten.

    Elk gerecht was gevuld met levendige, authentieke Filipijnse en Mexicaanse smaken. Wat echt opviel, was hun aandacht voor detail en hun bereidheid om rekening te houden met dieetwensen zonder in te leveren op smaak. Dankjewel.

    I had an amazing experience with Ligaya Food Truck! The service was incredibly friendly and professional — you can really tell they care about their customers. The food was absolutely delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. Everything was well-prepared and served with a smile. I would definitely recommend Ligaya to anyone looking for great food and even better service. Can’t wait to book them again for my next event!

    Ik had last minute een foodtruck nodig en dit onwijs lieve koppel hielp mij uit de brand! Super lekker eten en ontiegelijk gastvrij. Het heeft de hele dag geregend, maar er kwam altijd een glimlach uit de foodtruck.
